Hey, I’m Sam. I’m a computer programmer-in-training who was also a baker for a couple of years. Despite being weirdly specific about what I will and will not eat (no bones, nothing squishy, fruit must be eaten by itself, no eggs, no baby animals, no seafood…), I love food, and love trying food from all around the world. This site is both my place to store my edible successes and a playground to practice and hone my web developer skills (and, through writing recipes, practice algorithms).

I am a crazy animal lady, with my dog, named Growlithe (though he typically goes by Gardie), and my three rats, named Pikachu, Joey, and Pinky. If I had the space, trust me, I would have more animals! We live in Toronto, Canada with my husband (known as The Husbear), my sister, and my grandmother (my beloved avó).

Here, you can find many recipes that are filled with garlic, onions, and a variety of delicious, delicious spices. I love seasoning, hate blandness, and never really cared much for letting the meat speak for itself. Meat is boring; it needs more than just salt and pepper, no matter how expensive it is. I can do simple and healthy, or ridiculous and bad for you. Grilled, seasoned chicken breast? Delicious. Bacon-wrapped, mac and cheese-stuffed meatloaf? Also delicious.
